Physician Designed Package Exam. Virtual colonoscopy Images of the lUSAe intestine are taken using computerized tomography (CT) or, less often, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). A computer puts the images together to create an animated, three-dimensional view of the inside of the lUSAe intestine. The procedure involves no scopes but rather a scan of your colon. It is a procedure used to look for signs of pre-cancerous growths, called polyps; cancer; and other diseases of the lUSAe intestine.The radiologist takes a virtual tour through your colon. The total cost includes the procedure cost and any required lab tests, physician consultation for review of procedure findings. Not included are diagnostic studies, consultations with additional specialists and cost of complication management; travel, food and lodging.
