Sports Injuries often require specialized physical therapists in sports medicine to help restore function and mobility to injured limbs or other parts of the body, relieve pain and try to prevent or limit the effects of disabilities caused by an accident or disease session to treat with the goal of increasing mobility and quality of life.
The physical therapist assesses and provides treatment to individuals to develop, maintain, and restore maximum movement and function. In collaboration with the attending physician, additional sessions may be recommended by the therapist at an additional cost. Not included are travel, food, and lodging.
