Description
Thermography Radiologist Exam
Physician Designed Diagnostic Package Exam.
Medical DITI (Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging) is a noninvasive diagnostic technique that allows the examiner to visualize and quantify changes in skin surface temperature.
Its major clinical value is in its high sensitivity to pathology in the vascular, muscular, neural, and skeletal systems and as such can contribute to the pathogenesis and diagnosis made by the clinician.
Clinical uses for DITI include: define the extent of a lesion of which a diagnosis has previously been made; localize an abnormal area not previously identified for further diagnostic testing; detect early lesions; monitor the healing process.
Breast thermography is widely accepted as a breast evaluation tool.
The total cost of a thermography radiologist exam includes a one-hour consultation with a specialist.
Not included are diagnostic studies, consultations with additional specialists, and cost of complication management; travel, food, and lodging.
