A cataract is a clouding that develops in the crystalline lens of the eye, the loss of transparency causes impairment or loss of vision.

The implanted intraocular lens is an artificial lens made of plastic, silicone, or acrylic that performs in a similar manner as your eye’s natural lens.

Surgery for the second eye is usually scheduled several weeks after the first eye surgery in order to assure adequate healing of the operative eye and maintain sight for the client’s treatment.
