Flatfeet is a common and usually painless condition when the arch on the inside of your feet is flattened, allowing your entire foot to touch the floor when you stand up.
The arches may not develop during childhood or it may be caused by an injury or from the simple wear-and-tear stresses of age. Conservative treatment includes orthotic inserts or stretching exercises for people with a shortened Achilles tendon. Exercises to stretch this tendon may help.
The total cost of the flat feet treatment includes a one-hour consultation with a specialist. Not included are diagnostic studies, consultations with additional specialists, and cost of complication management; travel, food, and lodging.
