Cut ginger into small pieces and boil in a couple of water strain mixture and add half teaspoon sugar and drink it hot ginger tea is also beneficial in treating a cold.

Hot packs are an excellent help for chest and head colds. A hot water bath is recommended as it relieves chest and nasal congestion as well as inhaling steam.
